Two days after writing this post, and after reading your comments and taking it to facebook, I went ahead and bought my first pair of TOMS shoes. I only heard good things from those who already have a pair and I was really in the mood for a comfortable, casual summer shoe. The added bonus is that I just helped out a kid in need. I chose Ash Canvas Women's Classics because I wanted something that would go with everything.
I've got to be honest, they aren't that cute. I never really thought they were all that great, but seeing them on my own feet made me feel like Aladdin or something. It may be because I wear a size 9 1/2 and they only look good on small/short feet. It may also be because after having two kids, my feet are a lot wider than they used to be. I'm still wearing them because they are super comfortable and an easy slip on shoe for running errands, but I don't know if I really like the look.
I'm not giving up though. My next purchase will be Cordones. I want either Pale Pink or Linen Pinstripe. I also really like the Yellow Bimini Women's Stitchouts from the summer collection. And I still want to look into a pair for Nolan. This video makes me want to buy 50 more!
If you get a pair, just order your typical size. Mine were snug in the beginning and I thought for sure I should have gone up a size, but they fit perfectly after about three days of walking in them. And I don't know how long this coupon code will last, but I used "AFFTM5" for $5 off my order. There are also a few basic colors of the Classics at Nordstrom and Urban Outfitters.
