Remember when I mentioned here that we hadn’t been swimming all summer? And remember here when I said we were experiencing a record breaking streak of warm weather? Well, I had a friend visiting from out of town, so we took advantage of her extra set of hands and the warm weather last weekend and finally got out to the lake for our one and only trip this year. We were surprised by how quiet it was since it was such a hot weekend. The lake was freezing but Nolan didn't care. Milo wasn’t having it at all. We realized that our float is way too big for him and he wasn’t able to hold himself up in it. Plus it was just too cold.
Oh, lovely.
So we made our way to the swimming pool. Nolan had a blast kicking, jumping in, floating and splashing. And Milo had a lot of fun too. It was his first time in a pool and he loved it! I'm so glad we got out there one time this summer. In a few years when the boys are a little older, we'll be out there weekend after weekend.
Fall has offically hit Seattle. Last weekend we packed up the air conditioners and even had to turn on the heat. This weekend we're going to decorate our house for Halloween. I love this time of year!
