Guest Post by Join The Gossip: Christmastime in San Francisco

Leeann from Join The Gossip is the genius behind all my Man Candy Monday posts. She's the sweetest California girl you'll ever meet and I love reading all about her amazing life!

Hello Christina's Pop Life readers! My name is Leeann and I blog over at Join the Gossip. Today I am thrilled to be filling in for Christina. She's super awesome and I just hope that I can entertain you half as much as she does. Here it goes...

I'm from SoCal, Hollywood specifically, but last week I headed up north to San Francisco for a mini vacay with my parents. Although we were only in town for a few days, we managed to squeeze in lots of fun activities and take in the sights of the city.

San Fran is beautiful this time of year! From the festive Christmas window displays in the shops, to the ice skating rink in Union Square, you can't help but feel the holiday spirit. Here are a few of my favorite Christmas-y shots:

And of course, no San Francisco post is complete without a few tourist-y shots. So I give you the Golden Gate Bridge, the Seven Sisters, aka the Painted Ladies, aka the Full House houses, and Alcatraz.

Thanks for reading along and a big thank you to Christina for having me! Feel free to stop by my blog anytime. I love meeting new people :)

Guest Post by Poodleism: I Heart Christmas TV

Casey from Poodleism is so sweet with the best sense of humor. Be sure to check out my favorite series of hers, Friday Newsflash!

Hi! I'm Casey and I'm visiting all of you lovelies today from Poodliesm! This is my very first guest post and I'm completely honored and excited to be here! Thanks Christina!

So, this year, I feel like Christmas T.V. has been almost an all-time best. I probably think that every year, but the holiday episodes of my favorite shows have been out of this world, I think. Here goes:

The Office

Erin getting hammered was one of my favorite things. I've been a little off of The Office lately because the characters are just getting stale to me, but I thought this was a pretty hilarious twist for her. Also, comatose Meredith is always pure comedic gold. Maybe I'm just the wino...

Glee

Hi, the black and white throwback Christmas special was genius. Parts of it were almost a little too fruity for me, but I loved it all around. They even gave Britney S. Pierce a singing number. Also, more Chewbacca. Always.

New Girl

Someone on my Facebook recently said about this show: "You come for Zooey, you stay for Schmidt." So true. I loved the sexy Santa:

Also, I'm OBSESSED Zooey/Jess's dress from the episode:

Parks and Recreation

This made me tinkle with pure joy:

It's a painting of April killing the Black Eyed Peas. Though I do like the Black Eyed Peas, I think I may need this framed somewhere in my home. Viking Andy is a nice touch too.

Modern Family

A mobile wrapping station is a thing I need. Like now. Maybe I'd just settle or a Cam-like gay brother in law. Actually, that would be way better.

Have you been tuned in to Christmas shows this season? What are you watching?

Thanks again Christina! And come visit me at my blog!

Guest Post by The New Black: My 2011 Gift

Hannah from The New Black is my favorite fellow Seattleite blogger. Her commentary on movies, tv, music, books, fashion, etc is always witty and right up my alley.

When Christina asked me to write a guest post I was a little stumped as to what I'd write about. I figured a little {and easy!} holiday hint would be just the thing. So, here it is....I've got a little secret I'd like to share with you all. My 2011 Gift. Yes, that's right...I want to share My 2011 Gift with you.

Every year I put together a holiday gift that will serve all my generic gifting purposes for the season. I have ever so cleverly named it My {insert current year here} Gift. It took me ages to settle on the official name...can you tell?

I keep dozens of them on hand for all those situations you find yourself in during the holidays where something in a pretty bag overflowing with tissue paper and tied with elaborate ribbons is due...this gift always fits them all.

~ Hostess gift? Check.
~ Gift for neighbors? Check.
~ Secret Santa Gift? Check.
~ A little something extra for the mailman/dog sitter/hair stylist? Check.
~ Gift for someone who unexpectedly gave you a gift and you need to appear as if you had one all prepared to give them too? Check!!

The gift I decided on this year is Starbucks Hot Cocoa Mix with one of the following flavored syrups: Peppermint {my personal favorite!}, Toasted Marshmallow or Salted Caramel.

I've been a fan of Starbucks Peppermint Hot Cocoa for years and have been making it at home ever since I realized you could buy their mix online and not spend $4 for it through the Starbucks drive thru. In the recent years they've added these other yummy flavors and they can all be made from the toasty warm comfort of your own home. I wish really Torani sold these syrups in mini bottles so that I could give all three flavors with a hot cocoa mix {hint, hint Torani!}.

I wrap the cocoa tin and a flavored syrup up all festive-like and attach a little card that has a charming variation of 'hope you have a warm holiday season' and I am good to go. For some gifts {depending on the recipient} I like to add a hand selected mug to make it a little more personable.

I ordered up all the goods in November so that I could have them all assembled before the busy holiday buzz even begun. It has sure helps to have them ready so I can be rid of any stress and just enjoy the festivity of the season.

So, there is My 2011 Gift. Anyone else have a perfect go-to gift? I'm already brainstorming for My 2012 Gift...

Guest Post by Handbags & Handguns: What Celebs Want For Christmas

Hotpants™ from Handbags & Handguns was one of my first followers and blog friends. She’s a vampire loving, celebrity gossip knowing, sometimes sarcastic, always hilarious mom of two cute kiddos. I can't say enough about her. She's just plain awesome.

* * * * *

As a lover of all things celebrity, I've often wondered what the ladies and gents of Tinseltown want for Christmas. Do they want a Keurig coffee maker like I do? Do they want speakers for their car like my husband? Do they want video games or jewelry? What about gift cards or cashmere sweaters? This year, I was finally able to take a trip to Hollywood. I asked. They answered. Let's see what they had to say.

Lindsay Lohan, what do you want from Santa Claus this year?
I want an orange Berkin bag to match my spray tan and a 'get out of jail free' card.

Jennifer Aniston, what do you want from Santa Claus this year?
I want a silver Range Rover and a healthy baby.

Angelina Jolie, what do you want from Santa Claus this year?
I want world peace and Jennifer Aniston's baby.

Justin Bieber, what do you want from Santa Claus this year?
I'd love to be able to take my girlfriend on a date without any cameras around. I'd also really like chin hair.

Chuck Norris, what do you want from Santa Claus this year?
There is no Santa Claus. On Christmas Eve, Chuck Norris circumnavigates the globe in his pickup truck dispensing gifts to good children and roundhouse kicks to bad ones. The children, upon receiving these kicks, die.

Suri Cruise, what do you want from Santa Claus this year?
I want a date with Ryan Gosling. RIGHT NOW!

There you have it folks. Stars are JUST LIKE US!
