The Revolutionary Lytro Camera

Something rather special is going on in the camera world! Meet the Lytro. It's a camera described as 'a new way to take and experience pictures'. Techno wizardry website, Tech crunch, said about it "Lytro is developing a new type of camera that dramatically changes photography for the first time since the 1800s."

The camera collects and makes use of a greater ammount of light information than a normal digital camera allowing it to do some very impressive things. You press the sutter button to take a picture like normal, but there is no need to focus it. After the picture has been taken it you can interact with it. It is possible to pick any point to bring it into focus. Scroll down, watch the video, play with the interactive pictures, and you will see why there is so much buzz surrounding this new piece of technology.

Brian Tong of Cnet checks out the camera, demonstrating the refocusing capabilities.

Here are photos taken on Lytros. You can interact with them! Click anywhere in the picture to bring that point into focus.
