The last stop of Sneaker Pimps tour came to an end Friday night at Irving Plaza, and sneaker lovers came out in their favorite kicks to represent! I wore Miami Nights Lebron 9's, Flower wore Foams, A$ wore denim SB's, Air Karina wore Doernbecher 4's with a matching custom tee, and Pinkeye wore Dominique Dawkins Pony's!!

Hosted by Dave Jeff with performances by Waka Flocka, Kendrick Lamar,who had a meet and greet earlier at Footaction, Jim Jones, Siya, Stalley and a few others, powered by FOOTACTION, this event had sneaker lovers gather collectively for a night of #snkrluv!! Check out MORE PICS and these videos!

Spike Lee signs Spi'Zikes at Footaction!

This was a hell of a weekend for sneaker releases!! This particular one for the highly anticipated NY Knicks colorways of orange and blue was extra special to lucky New Yorkers who shop at Footaction on 34th St. because Spike Lee stopped by to talk about the release, upcoming projects, working with Tinker hatfield & Michael Jordan to create the Spi'Zike, and signing every pair purchased along with raffling off 2 pair! Ms.Lauren Luna comes to the Windy City: Custom Ladies

The very gifted and very talented Lauren Luna is blessing us with her presence on Saturday, October 29th not only to drop her 2012 Custom Ladies Calendar release of beautiful women in BEAUTIFULLY customed designed sneakers! Just in case you are unfamiliar with Lauren's work she is one of the originals of custom designing sneakers and is so amazingly talented. For the past 10 years she has been blessing us with wonderful creations on canvases and sneakers that have grazed the feet of many radio personaililies, musicians and many under ground fashionistas. As you can tell Lauren is one of the most talented artist out there! And she has recently moved on from sneakers to HEELS! So for all the ladies that need those custom neck breakers you should talk get at her! P.S... On the 29th she is also looking holding an open model call for her 2013 Custom Ladies calendar!! So ladies if you are interested you still a few weeks to get in that Kanye's workout plan so that you can be considered to be a feature!!!

SPARC your sneakers customizing event - Roxtoberfest RECAP!!

I AM BACK!!! It's been a while, yes, however I have been busy with orders and events like the one i am blogging about today. This past weekend myself and Pinkeye were invited up to Boston to participate in Mass Art's customizing event for Roxtoberfest at DS4SI (Design Studio 4 Social Intervention) along with other great Boston artists and people from Boston stopping in to see the studio! We were given our choice of either a pair of crispy white canvas Chucks, or the newest vinyl toy, STANCE, a blank sneaker canvas! Most of us chose the Chucks, and the coordinator of the event asked that the pair I customized be done for her granddaughter, which was such an honor!

Pinkeye's rendition of Charlie Brown's Great Pumpkin episode just in time for Halloween, and my       design for Mass Art's Euka Holmes' granddaughter, Song.

To keep our motivation going, Public Kitchens provided us with some very tasty vegan food including their infamous jalapeno cornbread!

There weren't as many guests as expected, but it was great to just paint with friends! Check out MORE PICS!!!

PR Day parade "Sazon" Dunks!!!

Another favorite time of year for me is June..the beginning of summer, HOT97 Summer Jam, and the National Puerto Rican Day Parade!!! This year I wanted to take it to another level with the kicks and decided not to do a flag, but something else within spanish culture that everyone could easily identify and appreciate..Sazon Dunks!!! I even used the shoebox to design the pair's own float like the ones everyone loves along the parade route! Yesterday was the pre-parade 116th St. festival in Harlem, so I took them out with me and they were an immediate hit with everyone! What about Maya Moore's sneaker?

With Maya Moore being the first female basketball player signed to Jordan Brand, this could be a big deal in women's Jordans! Like Jeter, Wade, Melo, and other athletes signed to Jordan Brand, there has to be a signature shoe that encompasses Maya's personality, style, and performance on the court. I've spoken with a few of the ladies here at FSF, and we agree that it would be appropriate if FSF combined our talents together to create a Jordan sneaker with both Maya and FSF'ers around the world in mind!

That being said, tomorrow is media day for the Minnesota Lynx and there will be an online interactive chat session with Maya and the other players from the Lynx! THIS IS OUR CHANCE TO BE HEARD FSF!! Let's make it a combined effort to let Jordan Brand know that WE WANT IN on the signature sneaker designed for Maya! It was cold outside, but even colder inside! So many kicks! So many fiends! Our spot ending up being a dead end but no worries because FETTi went out and about into the crowd handing out our flyers and networking with the many other fiends, companies, and on the come ups! Just in time for summer, the latest edition of my favorite Lebron drops this Friday at House of Hoops!!! Not only are they a lowtop edition, but like Ramon from Beat Street said about the new trains.."They're so white!!! They're so clean!!!"
