This is a bit of a random post. Let's start with surgery. My tracheal stenosis was back with a vengeance and I had the worst time breathing for the last two months. I went in for surgery yesterday and I’m breathing so much better already. I’m in some pain, but I'm hopped up on pain meds and about to go back to sleep.
Jacob has been amazing. On the way home from the hospital we stopped at Jamba Juice and got some super-sized smoothies to stock our freezer. And he also went to my favorite burger joint, Blazing Onion, to order me a large side of fries and their delicious BOB sauce. My diet of Saltines, ice cream and string cheese was getting old. He’s taking over care of the kids and letting me spend all weekend in bed watching TV and movies. I just love him!
I never feel fully recovered for at least seven days, but Jacob has to go back to work on Tuesday, so it’ll just be me and my boys lounging around in pajamas all next week. It really wasn’t ideal timing to have surgery so close to Christmas. On top of recovery I’ve got to wrap presents, mail Christmas cards, bake a crap ton of cookies and candy, and try to squeeze in a visit with Santa. Yeah, we haven't even done that yet. So I’m taking a week long blog break.
